You will see why it is in the top 4 I feel I'm just a pest but I like ZA and maybe pcInternet Patrol or LnS and pcInternet Patrol or Outpost and pcInternet patrol!!Are they used togeather? pcInternet Patrol and Other?TIA.dagolag Sure . pcIP can work with most . I run it with Outpost . No problem . It will work with ZA and most others . You are not a pest . You want the best info to help you make a decision . No problem . LnS is very good and should also work with pcIP . Thanks for all your help !!!!!!!!Cheers, dagolag AJohn Registered Member Joined: Sep 29, 2004 Posts: 935 pcIP also works with CHX-I Packet Filter, 8Signs and Tiny as far as I am aware of. I have used it with all of them, including Look 'n' Stop and Outpost. Firewall wise I would have to recommend Outpost if you are wanting a firewall with application-rules. If you are not needing a firewall with any sorts of component control, I would suggest CHX-I Packet Filter. Re: The best Firewall?Look"n"stop, the end!I thought this is a LnS forum?,who cares about other firewalls!,the Admins of this site should put a stop to this! And move it to other firewalls.Really sick of people coming to the LnS thread and talking about other firewalls,LnS is the best!So why don't you people, who don't like look"n"stop" go somewhere else but here! You are right it is.They should.I missed where anyone said they didn't like look 'n stop in this thread. Please feel free to point this out.I think maybe the user posted in the wrong forum by accident or maybe by misunderstanding. Hopefully the mods will move this though since user says he is looking for best firewall and not inquiring directly about
2025-04-19"do you trust xxx banking login thief". I have left many posts on this board questioning the inability of many of these security solutions to differentiate between benign activity and harmful activity. The warnings for benign activity happen so much more often than for harmful activity that it has caused me to consider these approaches to be useless, and the entire pursuit of firewall leak testing to be futile, considering the current state of the art. This does not mean folks should not try these tests. Its just that there is no substitute for user awareness. In circumstances where the user is not aware (children/teens), the machine needs to be locked down using strategies similar to those used on enterprise networks or kiosk browsers. So, don't be concerned if my ideas are different from yours, the point is to find out what all the ideas are.
