2025-04-10Agentic DNSIntroductionThe Agentic DNS repository is a critical component of the Agentic Network project, focusing on the secure and efficient resolution of .agent domains. As part of the broader effort to create an exclusive namespace for agentic communication, the Agentic DNS system ensures that .agent domains are accessible and reliable for verified agents.Role in the Agentic NetworkAgentic DNS serves as the backbone for resolving .agent domains, providing a robust infrastructure to manage DNS queries and ensuring that only authenticated agents interact within the .agent ecosystem. By integrating seamlessly with the .agent Registry and other components of the Agentic Network, the DNS system supports the project’s goal of creating a secure, agent-exclusive internet space.FeaturesDNS Resolution for .agent DomainsEfficiently resolves .agent domains for agentic services and applications.Provides high uptime and reliability for critical agent-to-agent communication.Secure DNS ProtocolsImplements DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) to ensure the integrity of domain resolution.Protects against DNS spoofing and other malicious activities.Agent Verification IntegrationEnsures that only verified agents can utilize the .agent DNS system.Works with the .agent Registry to authenticate agent-specific domain access.DDoS ProtectionBuilt-in mechanisms to mitigate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, ensuring uninterrupted service.Scalable ArchitectureDesigned to handle high query volumes as .agent domains become widely adopted.Repository StructureAgentic DNS├── README.md # Overview of the repository├── src/ # Core DNS implementation│ ├── dns_server/ # Primary DNS server code│ ├── security/ # DNSSEC and security features├── tests/ # Unit and integration tests for DNS functionality├── docs/ # Documentation for DNS system│ ├── architecture.md # Technical architecture of the DNS system│ ├── api.md # API documentation for DNS operations│ ├── dnssec.md # Guide to DNSSEC implementation└── LICENSE # Open-source license informationRoadmapPrototype Development (2024):Build the foundational DNS server with basic resolution capabilities.Implement initial DNSSEC protocols for security.Integration Testing (2025):Test integration with the .agent Registry and Agentic API.Simulate high query volumes to validate
