Where is the Virus Chest in Avast Free?

AVG antivirus is here... is not too easy, from that website, to find out what AVG means, but I'm sure it is something kinda simple I haven't thought of yet... oh well...However, I didn't exactly like AVG. It wasn't that impressive and it was kinda a hassle to use.Experiment though, for you might like it and it is free. However, anotehr freeware option I'm throwing in is Avast Home... (nice thing to start off with) ::You MUST register with the company on their website by providing an e-mail address. This gives you a serial code that allows usage for 14 months and after that point, you register again. You can register as many times as you want. As far as I have seen, I have recieved no spam from Avast, EVER.Pros ::Automatic virus database updating, program updating (can turn these on/off)Can automatically scan files that you try to open, try to save (can turn on/off since this may be a speed hit)Integration with MANY e-mail clientsIn fact, integration with IM programs and P2P programsMyDoom actually ties into this morning...I downloaded my e-mail this morning... If the program is set up to scan programs as you open then, you would have recieved a virus warning when you double clicked on the file. September 23, 2005, 4:29pm 1 When I started up my computer avast caught it and I tried to move to chest but it wouldn’t do it at first. I strated system scan and a virus was detected in the memory of avast so it rebooted and started in safe mode to start scan. Imay get the name a little off, I think it said virus detected in windows/system32/awtst.dll When it said, file found in windows…are you sure you want to delete it I said no. Should I delete it? Or did it start a scan before windows started?If you have an option to move it to the chest (or if it gives a Move option), that is the safest option, it can not do any harm there.They can a a later time be deleted from the chest after investigation.There is no rush to delete anything from the chest, they can’t do any harm there. Anything that you send to the chest you should leave there for a week or two, to ensure your system is OK. Whenever I run a full system scan of my hard drive, Avast 4.8 Home Edition stops at a file with a potential virus. It has a very long file name with a lot of random numbers for most of it, but the first characters are always “EasyPDF”. I always say to move the file and add the “.vir” extension. I then go to the moved folder and delete that file.I’ve tried searching my hard drive for any files that start with “EasyPDF” and can’t find any. How can I find where this file resides and get rid of it forever?
