I've been running Turnigy D3536/1000 for good power, as well as the fact it runs an unusually large shaft of 5mm. This makes for a super durable engine for those MANY occasions where the plane is going to come straight in on it's beak. It will take this kind of abuse better than any other I've used. With others, bent shafts (some as small as 3mm) are common place. You can buy a better engine, but I'd put this one up against anything else for durability/bang received for bucks spent.Motor likes 11x5.5 and 12x6 props, 40-50 amp ESC's and flies well on 1500-2200 batteries. I prefer the smaller prop and batteries, but the others are popularly used. I use Foam Tak on all my foameys. Kinda like contact cement, stronger than the foam.
