Is just terrible.That is a significant age gap. It proves that when they are at the same age, Light is smarter. L needs to be older than Light in order to be Light's equal.Light was a kid in his bedroom who could hear his dad's conversations and who had a ghost who could be anywhere he wanted without ever being seen. Light had a lot of help from Ryuk (with the cameras, telling Light that Roy Penbar was following him, etc) which gave Light some advantages.L lost because Light had access to supernatural rules and phenomenon that L couldn't possibly have known about, including the stuff with Rem (which, while L did *eventually* learn about, couldn't have known beforehand)TL;DR: L is still smarter, Light had unfair advantagesI can agree with all this. L got one big W in catching Kira off-guard with the death row convict, some smaller victories in making Light slip his character profile, while Light's victories were much more decisive from manipulating the police against L and forcing their cooperation, to proving Misa and his innocence, to killing L.Also, people act like L was just an ordinary detective working out of his closet against an insurmountable supernatural advantage.
