The same thing happened with many other applications. Eset's firewall usability is much better than Kaspersky, and give the user better control. Kaspersky AV is a different story. I currently have an ASUS laptop with Windows 7, 4 GB RAM, and INTEL i5. The software loaded quickly and without any issues. The problems were with the System Scan. Any time I tried to run a System Scan it would freeze my system or reboot to the Blue screen. I contacted Kaspersky Customer Support and was provided auto reply emails with useless links to the Help screens I already spent hours on. After about a week and numerous emails to Kaspersky I received an email from an actual human. In his email he provided very specific instructions to delete this and delete that. Then once done deleting, change this setting and that setting. Unfortunately for Kaspersky, by the time I received his email I had already returned the product for FULL REFUND and purchased Webroot. Webroot loaded fine and performed a full system scan without any issues. No, I would not recommend this to a friend
