I've decided to do something about it. I've built out the Tauntek expansion boards, which should 1) bring it up to Synergy II+ level and 2) add an EPROM pre-loaded with 23 cartridges for a total of 552 sounds.I'm working on a from-scratch port of the SYNHCS software in C. Progress has been pretty good, and I can read and write .CRT, .BIN and .VCE files all day long. Next stage, editing voices from the command-line app, similar to how the Kaypro does it. It is the part that fits into the back end of the keyboard mechanism - used to hold the key contact wire that contacts the bus bar. It is a small plastic piece designed to fit the back of the key, hold the bus contact and also to seat the spring for key return. Just a minute plastic part - but without it I have a dead key. It is actually two plastic bits stuck together
