#1 Hello,First of all, sorry for my English...I am looking for help about my problem and after many searches on internet I haven't found a solution.Since 2 month I have a Mac mini M2 Pro that is connected to a LG Ultrafine 23.7" 4K. My keyboard is a Logi MX Keys for Mac. Everything was working perfectly until three weeks. Indeed, for 3 weeks now and for no reason the F1 and F2 keys on my keyboard that control the screen brightness no longer work.I can still control the brightness from the control center or the settings. With the app Logi Options+ I can set up the F1 and F2 keys to other actions (adjust the volume for example, or launch Mission Control) and it works. So the keys aren't defective. Moreover, if I connect my keyboard to my iPad, the F1 and F2 keys can control the brightness of my iPad.I reset my keyboard, reinstalled the Logi Options+ app, restarted my Mac, my LG... Nothing happens.I tried with another keyboard, and the brightness keys don't work either.Very strange thing, if I hold the Control+F1 or Control+F2 keys, it works! I can control the brightness of my LG! I don't understand what's going on. According to my research, the Control+F1/F2 combination allows to control a secondary monitor (for example, a monitor connected to a MacBook). But for my part, I use a Mac mini, and I don't have a secondary monitor...Would anyone have a solution to this problem? It's frustrating, I don't understand what's going on...Thank you very much! #2 I have the same issue. Have the MXKeys for Mac keyboard and have adjusted the brightness of my LG UltraFine display through the keyboard keys for a couple of years. Suddenly this has stopped working. All the other "function keys" such as the volume keys are working fine.Ventura 13.3.1 and Logi Options+ 1.40.402749, keyboard connected over Bluetooth. #3 I have the same issue. A dull display can make it difficult to work, watch movies, or even just browse the web. Fortunately, there are several ways to adjust your HP Pavilion laptop’s screen brightness to suit your needs. This guide will walk you through the various methods, from simple keyboard shortcuts to advanced settings adjustments, to ensure your screen is bright and clear.1. Utilize the Keyboard Brightness KeysThe most straightforward way to adjust screen brightness is through your keyboard’s dedicated keys. Most HP Pavilion laptops feature dedicated function keys (Fn) with symbols representing brightness control. These symbols typically look like a sun or a light bulb.Locate the brightness keys: Look for keys with a sun icon or a light bulb symbol. They are usually located in the top row of your keyboard, near the function keys (Fn).Press the brightness keys: Press the Fn key and the brightness up or down key to adjust the brightness. Pressing the key with the sun icon typically increases brightness, while pressing the key with a downward-pointing arrow decreases brightness.Experiment with combinations: If you find the brightness isn’t changing, try holding down the Fn key and pressing the up or down arrow keys. Some keyboards use different combinations to control screen brightness.2. Adjust Brightness Through Windows SettingsIf your keyboard lacks dedicated brightness keys, or if you want more granular control, you can adjust the screen brightness through Windows settings. This method allows you to set specific brightness levels and create custom profiles for different situations.Open Windows Settings: Click the Start button and select “Settings”.Navigate to System: In the settings window, click “System”.Choose Display: In the left-hand menu, select “Display”.Adjust Brightness: On the right side of the window, you’ll find a slider labeled “Brightness”. To enable this, toggle the “Change brightness automatically when lighting changes” option.3. Unable to adjust Studio Display brightness with keyboard anymore Recently noticed my StudioDisplay brightness control doesn't work with the keyboard key. I plug it into an M1 Max MacBook Pro and I use the Logitech MX Keys, but neither the laptop or external keyboard keys will change the brightness. They only change the brightness on the laptop's screen. Tested it out with another MacBook Air M1 and same issue. I can change the brightness of the display using the control center but that isn't as convenient as the keys. Anyways it was working fine before until recently. My guess is it's some problem caused by the most recent macOS update? Anyone else have this issue? I've already tried unplugging everything, checking settings, etc.Running macOS Ventura 13.3.1(a)[Re-Titled by Moderator] Studio Display Posted on May 2, 2023 9:06 PM Posted on Feb 7, 2024 4:38 PM Use the control key with the brightness key and see if that will work
