The wizard requires no code to create an index, helping you write interesting queries within minutes.The wizard creates multiple objects on your search service, including a searchable index, an indexer, and a data source connection for automated data retrieval. The Setup Wizard will start immediately after installation. To start the wizard again at a later date it can be found in the File Menu from the IVM application. Answering Machine (no PBX) The answering machine option works like an ordinary household answering machine. It will wait a specified number of rings (you can adjust this later) before answering a call. It can be used to handle a single mailbox, or allow a key press to access up to 10 mailboxes. For more information on this option, refer to the Answering Machine QuickStart guide. Voice Mail (with PBX) The voice mail option works like a voice mail service on a standard phone line. When a call is not answered the PBX (Axon is preferred) will transfer the call to a voice mail extension that will route the message to the correct mailbox based on the dialed number. It will also allow extensions on the PBX to call in and check their messages through the same extension. It can be used to handle any number of mailboxes and generally has one mailbox for each extension. For more information on this option, refer to the Voice Mail QuickStart guide. Automated Outbound Dialing IVM can also be used to make automated calls to a list of numbers. For more information on this option, refer to the Outbound QuickStart guide. Automated Call Attendant (with PBX) The automated call attendant works much like having a receptionist. When calling in, a user will be asked to dial the extension for the person they wish to contact and the incoming call is then transferred to that extension. This can be expanded to include business hours or location as well. For more information on this option, refer to the Automated Call Attendant QuickStart guide. Information Line The information line can be used whenever you want to have a number of prerecorded messages that you would like to allow a person to listen to over the phone. When calling in, a user will be asked for the message number that they want to hear. This can be a real estate listing, automobile for sale, or anything else that you can imagine. Messages are managed through the same telephone interface meaning that you don't have to be next to your computer to make an update. For more information on this option, refer to the Information Line QuickStart guide. Other (Complex IVR System) If none of the items before this fit what you are looking for, you may need the complex IVR system option. This will offer you several sample IVR solutions that can get you on the right track to building your own solution.
